The tithes and offerings from the members of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church will help further the Kingdom of God in our community and around the world. The links below are an easy way our church family can financially support the many church missions & ministries. Thank You!!
This fund supports various community projects & mission trips of the LABC Youth. Whether serving in disaster areas, neighborhood missions, faith based ministries, etc, your donation funds opportunities for our youth to gain practical experience in living out the Great Commission of Jesus Christ near & far.
This fund is administered by the LABC Deacons to meet the urgent needs that may suddenly arise within the church membership & community. Whether it be a house fire, damaging weather, accident, job loss, or other crisis, this fund provides financial resources to aid as much as possible as quickly as possible.
Donations to the Blessing Box helps the community around the church with food & basic necessities. The Blessing Box is accessible 24/7/365 for any who may need basic items/food and must be constantly replenished.
While living in China, Lottie wrote letters to the Foreign Mission Board (now the International Mission Board) and to Baptist women. She asked for more missionaries and for money to grow her work among the Chinese.
Because of Lottie’s determination, WMU collected a Christmas Offering to give to the Foreign Mission Board. In 1918, at Annie Armstrong’s suggestion, WMU named the offering for Lottie Moon. Today, we still give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering in honor of her work and sacrifice to keep our 3,650 missionaries on the international mission field outside North America.
The offering was started in 1895 by Woman's Missionary Union® (WMU) to benefit the work of the Home Mission Board (now North American Mission Board). In 1934, it was named in honor of Annie Armstrong, a bold missions advocate and WMU's first national executive leader. Today, more than $2 billion has been donated by Southern Baptist churches and individuals to support thousands of missionaries in church planting and compassion ministries in the U.S. and Canada. Because of this sacrificial giving, millions of lives have been and continue to be transformed by the power of the gospel.
For the combined mission efforts of SBC churches within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
This fund helps reduce the outstanding balance & hastens the loan payoff of the LABC Family Life Center.
LABC's vans are in constant motion transporting people to and from church services, members to ministry opportunities, youth and others to community projects and mission trips, etc. Your donation to the van fund ensures LABC is better prepared for the big expense when the time eventually comes when one of the vans must be replaced.
This long term fund provides for future building projects. While the FLC Fund works to retire the balance from the last project at LABC, this fund looks forward and gives a head start to whatever the future holds.
This long term fund provides for future roof replacement. Although a roof will last a few decades, when replacement is needed the cost for a large church roof is many tens of thousands of dollars. Donations to this fund spreads out this huge expense over many years.
