What we Believe
Church constitution states…
The scriptures of the Old and New Testament were given by inspiration of God and are the only sufficient, certain, and authoritative rule of all saving knowledge, faith and obedience.
Only one true God exists, the maker, preserver, and ruler of all things, having in and of Himself all perfection and being infinite; and to Him all creatures owe highest love, reverence and obedience.
God is revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each with distinct, personal attributes but without division of nature, essence or being.
The church is a divine institution. It is composed of baptized believers who are banded together to observe the ordinances, to exercise spiritual discipline, and to carry out the Great Commission. (Acts 2:41-42, Matthew 28:18-20)
Scriptural baptism is an ordinance of the church not a means of salvation. It is evidence of every believer’s fellowship with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. A believer’s baptism by immersion is a prerequisite to church membership.
The Lord’s Supper:
The Lord’s supper is a repetitive ordinance of the church instituted by Jesus Christ. It is to be observed as a remembrance of that which the Lord did for our salvation ( 1 Corinthians 11:24-26) until He comes again.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and eternal life with God. We pray that all might know Him.
